I love me a wedding day down the shore but this one was slightly different than what I expected! The energy was high when I showed up for Christina & James’ wedding day. Drinks were flowing, music was blasting. I started photographing Christina’s details when she came into the room exclaiming, “it is pouring rain right now!” What?? That wasn’t supposed to happen today. Like, at all. But it was POURING. And it didn’t stop! It went on and on while she got into her wedding dress and when it was time to head out to their first look, it was still raining. ALL our portraits were planned for outside! And James and Christina were not planning on seeing each other until we got to the portrait location. We had to change and alter plans quickly. Finally the rain calmed down a bit and we decided to do their first look at the hotel then have everyone hang out together on the air-conditioned shuttle to wait out any more rain that came our way and if we had to move photos indoors, we would.

But it was like the rain knew it was time for Christina & James to begin their wedding day and suddenly just decided to cooperate! The sky looked gray and threatening the whole time but it never rained again and we ended up taking ALL our portraits outside. They got a DOWNPOUR of good luck rain on their wedding day and that was all 🙂 We even got a spectacular sunset later in the day. Sometimes, it all ends up working out for the best and it really did in their case. Once they exchanged their vows and rings at the Sunset Ballroom with Point Pleasant Beach in the background – it was time to celebrate. And these two CLEARLY love to dance and have a good time. You can see on their faces in their photos how much they were enjoying themselves on the dance floor and having fun dancing with their family, friends and each other! lol I LOVE these two and their wedding day so much and can’t wait to share it with you today! Christina and James – CONGRATULATIONS!! What an AMAZING day it was for you!! I wish you nothing but the best in your future together!!
