When I was gathering all the images from Melody & Blake’s wedding day to share on the blog, there were so many amazing moments that stood out to me that I wanted to share, it felt a little overwhelming! I couldn’t believe two people got SO lucky with such an amazing wedding day! First, we have to talk about the weather (I always start with the weather, I know! lol) But when the forecast calls for 80% chance of thunderstorms and rain on your wedding day and then it doesn’t rain ONCE, that’s definitely worth mentioning! Melody said it all day long. She manifested the perfect weather and she really did!! They planned a beautiful beach ceremony and that’s exactly what they got!
Melody got dressed with the help of her mom, who wore a gorgeous traditional Korean dress in the perfect shade of pink to match her daughter’s wedding colors. Melody & Blake changed into their Korean wedding outfits after their ceremony and I loved seeing them honor that part of Melody’s culture on their wedding day! Melody & Blake also danced a beautiful choreographed first dance – before busting out into a FUN dance afterward! And then she did the same with her dad and of COURSE, they danced to Gangham Style (which is my kids’ favorite song at the moment so I personally LOVED this! lol) and they nailed it!! They did so great, they danced to it AGAIN during the reception with all their guests! So much of this day was about honoring their family and friends. Melody had family travel all the way from Korea to celebrate with them! And her maid of honor, in lieu of giving a toast serenaded the gorgeous newlyweds with a song!
When Blake turned around to see Melody standing there, in her incredible wedding gown, it was such a wonderful moment! They shared their first look and just took their time after that moment to soak it all in. We had SO much time because of their first look for portraits and I truly think you can see through their photos how EFFORTLESS it was to take their photos. They’re so naturally lovable together, I BARELY posed them. I just told them when to look at me or occassionally what to do with their hands… everything else is all them. My favorite part of the day was Blake could NOT take his eyes off Melody. Any free minute we had, he spent it staring at his WIFE!!
Melody & Blake, congratulations!!! I’m so glad everything worked out perfectly for you guys and the day you envisioned for so long was truly SO beautiful and memorable! Wishing you nothing but the best!!
