Kristina & Jon have been waiting for this day for much longer than people can imagine! They’ve been together for 15 years, got engaged in 2018, and hoped to be married in 2020. Of course, the pandemic pushed back their plans not once or twice but THREE times! There were little blessings in between all the chaos – their son Johnny was born this past November! And finally last weekend after waiting SO long for this day, they finally became husband and wife – with ALL of their family, friends & their son by their side! And on top of that – they had the most perfect weather. Not one cloud in the sky. It’s the least mother nature could do for making them wait so long for this day!
When I look through these images, I’m blown away by how timeless and gorgeous it all looks. Kristina poured her heart into every one of these details – she did all the paper goods herself! She had been planning and REplanning this wedding day for 3 years and it’s always so crazy watching it all come together. You wonder if you pick the right colors and details. But she knocked it out of the park. EVERY detail was beautiful! The bridesmaids look stunning in their long black dresses and the bouquets full of color popped off them perfectly. They had the cutest little nods to their two dogs, Davidson & Luna! Be sure to look out for them on the wedding cake 😉
Kristina & Jon have been together for so long, Kristina was SO sure that Jon would NOT cry when they shared their first look. I always ask the family and bridesmaids if we think the groom will cry and no one thought he would! lol So it was SO fun to see him turn around, hug her and pull away with tears in his eyes! I’m sure that just made her day! She looked BEAUTIFUL and he couldn’t hide his emotion! Johnny came dressed for the occasion too – even wearing his little union jack socks to represent one-third of his heritage! lol He was SO smiley to all their guests as he was carried down the aisle by Kristina’s brother! And everyone’s jaw dropped at the sight of Kristina as she walked down the aisle. Their ceremony backdrop was beautiful and after their ceremony, we went inside for their Chinese tea ceremony with their parents which was just as beautiful. I’ve photographed this before and just love the tradition of presenting your parents with a gift and thanking them for all they’ve done for you up to this point. Once in the reception, the party never stopped! The dance floor was FULL all night long! It was such a fun, long-awaited celebration for this couple and I am SO excited to share more of it with you! Kristina & Jon, congratulations!!! It was such a beautiful day and I hope it was worth the wait!! 🙂
