Taylor knew years before she ever met Francis that Lavallette was where she’d want her engagement photos done. She had been coming here for years, to her grandparent’s beach house, and it’s become such a special place for her. And when she met Francis, they began to spend their summers together down the shore and the places that meant so much began to mean a lot to him too. He proposed to Taylor last December outside the art museum in Philadelphia, where he grew up and they will be getting married next year in Liberty House overlooking the Manhattan skyline in New York City, where they met! It all ties together perfectly 🙂
We met in Lavallette for their engagement session on a really windy day but the beach was empty, the ocean was SO blue – we made it work! Taylor & Francis are such naturals in front of the camera! Even with the wind blowing and me having to scream at them where to stand and what to do next, they made it all look absolutely effortless! We made sure to grab photos in front of her grandparents house too since it was such an special part of this location for her. But the best part was when we grabbed their sweet dog, Daisy, for some photos on the bay! Daisy was the absolute BEST girl – she sat right on the beach and gladly smiled for the camera. I mean, seriously… look at the photos of her and telling me she is not smiling for the camera! lol She was one of the best dogs I’ve ever photographed!
We stopped at the bay right as the sun was setting for some sunset photos and then ended their session in the cutest little alley right next to Charlie’s of Bay Head. This is a hidden gem that Taylor discovered years ago and it ended up being the PERFECT spot for photos! I just LOVE these photos – they popped so perfectly off the blue of the ocean, little Daisy, the champagne, and just add a stunning couple in it – it’s all gorgeous!! And I can. not. WAIT for next year when they get married! For now, enjoy my favorite images from their engagement session!!
