It’s always a fun day when you get to celebrate a couple getting married, even during these crazy times! Rachel & Jake had planned to get married on their wedding day long before the pandemic hit… but of course, the pandemic through a dent in their plans. They decided though to still make it official and get married so they did something really fun… they split their wedding day up!
This year, they decided to officially become husband and wife and get married in a church with their families, bridal party, and just a few close friends and family members. And next year? We get to dance, drink, and CELEBRATE! I love this idea! Nothing wrong with celebrating twice 😉 It was so fun photographing both of them in their getting ready locations. Jake brews his own beer so of course, he made a beer for his wedding and of COURSE, he and his groomsmen toasted the happy couple with some Hoppily Eger After 😉 And Rachel got ready simply, with just her mom and maid of honor by her side!
Once we got to the church, the little ring boys & flower girl gladly walked down the aisle and Rachel & Jake finally saw each other! It was a beautiful short ceremony inside their church and so wonderful watching them be announced husband and wife – they had a livestream for everyone that couldn’t be there and SO fun seeing everyone in the chat happy to be a part of the celebration in any way too! We made our way to the beautiful Sayen Gardens for all of their portraits and then they drove off in an Astin Martin to dinner 🙂 They had a BEAUTIFUL day and I just know next year’s celebration is just as gorgeous! Enjoy my favorite images from Rachel & Jake’s micro wedding day!
