2020 will forever remain in our history and our memory as one of the craziest and overwhelming years in our lives. I haven’t photographed a single wedding this entire year… until now. And that is because despite a pandemic raging through our world, love will ALWAYS reign.
Renee & Robert got engaged last May and started planning a beautiful wedding for this August in Spring Lake! Of course, like most other wedding days in 2020, COVID-19 threw them for a loop. They decided to postpone their big celebration for next year BUT no matter what, they wanted to become husband and wife! They planned a small micro wedding day in Spring Lake with their closest family members – including their sweet french bulldog puppy, Riesling! They picked a quiet spot in Devine Park and hoped for perfect weather… we couldn’t have DREAMED up a more perfect wedding day!
It was a sunny, breezy August afternoon and everyone showed up smiling from ear to ear, so excited to celebrate these two! Robert broke the glass and just like that, they were pronounced husband and wife! Everyone drank champagne and snacked on lobster rolls as the sun set and we snuck off to the beach for sunset portraits. It was all SO wonderful! And to think we get to do it all again next year? How fun is that!
I hope this wedding day provides a ton of inspiration for all of you 2020 couples hoping to still become husband and wife this year, even if it’s in front of 50 people instead of 150. Don’t give up hope – love will always win 🙂 Renee & Robert, THANK YOU for still including me in your wedding day this year!! I can not wait to celebrate you both all over again next year – hopefully with LOTS of hugs and no masks!! 🙂
