August is my absolute favorite month for engagement photos down the shore. The sunsets are just a little bit pinker and prettier, the nights are a tiny bit chillier than they were before and the water glistens beautifully underneath the sun. Liz and Mike chose the adorable beach town, Lavallette, for their engagement photos! It was the perfect spot for these two. It was where they met almost 6 years ago when Mike was a lifeguard. They’ve always had a shared love of the beach and still do! They just recently bought a house not too far from the beach and next year, they’ll be getting married overlooking the Navesink river at one of my favorite venues, Molly Pitcher Inn! It just made sense to have their engagement photos be in the summer time by the water.

What also made sense was bringing along their sweet dog, Marshall. When I say sweet, I mean SWEET-EST. It was a HOT day when we met up and Marshall, with all his fur, was not the biggest fan of the heat… but he didn’t complain once! He didn’t even lay down once and give in. He sat there just the good boy he is and had a perma-smile on the entire time! 🙂 Once Marshall was back in air-conditioning, Liz & Mike popped the champagne and I captured them enjoying the night along the seashore and taking it the most amazing pink sunset! Yes – it was as picturesque as it sounds!! You will love Liz & Mike’s engagement session as much as I do!! 🙂
