I’m pretty sure that no couple, even a couple getting married in winter, actually plans for a blizzard the day before their wedding! They might hop for some snow but not a surprise snowstorm that keeps you and your bridal party in traffic for 12 hours and completely makes you miss your rehearsal dinner! But that’s just what Kaitlyn & Patrick got on their wedding day… and would you believe me if I said it only ADDED to the magic of it all? I mean, what else can you do when something like that happens but go with the flow? That’s EXACTLY what they did! Their outdoor ceremony they had planned at the beautiful Skyview Golf Club got moved inside in front of the warm fireplace, surrounded by candelight in lanterns. Not for nothing but doesn’t THAT sound dreamy?? And honestly, you won’t even hear ME complain about snow on the ground! All that white everywhere just makes skin tones pop, colors burst and everything look ten times prettier! Kaitlyn & Patrick didn’t let them bother them one BIT! They shared their first look outside, just like we planned, and had their favorite Summer Shandy beer’s with them to keep warm! And when it got too cold, we warmed up inside (where believe it or not, sometimes felt TOO warm! lol) They still had the most wonderful celebration! Even Kaitlyn’s maid of honor joined in on the fun from far away! She lives in California and while she fully planned to make it, unforeseen personal issues popped up. And while she couldn’t make it, she not only sent the DJ a recording of her maid-of-honor speech to be played during the toasts but also sent a giant cut out of herself – IN her dress! lol That’s just the sweetest most thoughtful best friend ever!! I absolutely adore these two. You can hang out with them for only 5 minutes and already feel like you’ve been lifelong friends. They’re the sweetest, not only to their family and friends, but to each other. And man, do they make each other laugh! I swear guys THAT is the key to a healthy relationship 🙂 I’m SO excited to throw it back to last weekend when there was still piles of snow on the ground and Kaitlyn & Patrick were saying I do!
