Jess & Dan got lucky with the most PERFECT weather for their engagement session in the West Village in New York City. It was ideal temperatures for a fall engagement session – sunny and bright but breezy. They decided to start their engagement session in Washington Square Park. I’ve photographed SO many engagement sessions in the city but never in Washington Square Park so I was really excited to walk around a bit with them and photograph them in the park. The bad thing about fantastic weather though is SO many people were at the park too! lol Luckily, they didn’t mind walking around the West Village for their photos and ending their session on beautiful Barrow Street 🙂 This was ALL Jess’ idea! These two live in Hoboken and will be getting married with New York City as their backdrop next fall so why not take their engagement session photos in this city?? Jess and Dan are actually experts in getting their photo taken – they love to travel and while traveling this past Spring, they had some fun photos taken of them during their travels! So this was actually their THIRD time being photographed – but this time, they were engaged so it was just a little bit more special 😉 We walked all around the west village, pausing in doorways, on brownstones, on side streets (and sometimes in the middle of the streets) for them to steal kisses – and even twirl. Sometime Dan admitted he ALWAYS did with Jess – uhm, the CUTEST!! I loved photographing and getting to know Jess & Dan during their session and can’t wait to photograph them again next September!! Here are some of my favorite photos from their West Village engagement session.Â
