I’m SO excited to finally share a peek into Baby Rivera’s Nursery!! As I write this post, I am 13 days away from my due date! Who knows if she’ll come sooner, later or right on time – but I can’t WAIT to spend time with her in this room. I poured my heart and soul into this room and it is seriously my favorite room in the entire house. I love being in this room and sometimes just come, lay back in the glider and daydream about all the memories we’ll make in this room.
Once we found out we were having a girl, I immediately started to think about what we were doing with the nursery. I perused Pinterest and settled on a pink and gold nursery. I didn’t want a straight theme but just knew it would be painted pink with subtle gold accents. It’s funny though because we didn’t do it intetionally but over time as we randomly picked things out for the nursery, with the pink & gold theme in mind, we realized we picked a lot of things with stars, hearts and moons in them. So it all kind of came together accidently but we love it! We painted the room Possibly Pink by Sherwin Williams and I LOVE the color. I actually found the color on Pinterest and didn’t even swatch it on the wall – my gut told me it was THE color and Jose just went and bought it! lol Thank GOD we loved it. It’s a really light, airy pink and it’s perfect. I am going to include the source of as many things as possible in the nursery, just in case anyone is interested 😉
This is the smallest bedroom in our house so we were really worried things would feel cramped but honestly, when you stand in the room – it doesn’t feel that way at all! We intentionally chose smaller furniture because we didn’t want it to feel tight – we don’t have a closet in this room so we knew we definitely needed two dressers and the crib is a convertible so it will all last us a while! Plus, we obviously called dibs on the glider for our bedroom once she stops using it. It’s SO comfy and I’m not going to lie – I’ve already taken 5 naps in that glider lol.
My mom bought these fairytale books YEARS ago before we even got pregnant! These were the first pieces that went into the nursery 🙂
Our baby is a winter baby so for now, I wanted to make sure we kept her winter stuffed animals in her crib – I LOVE this penguin and polar bear 🙂
I LOVE our bookshelves and can’t believe we have SO many books for the baby!
