Two years ago Ashley & Steve booked me for their wedding day. I met with Ashley in a Starbucks and she pretty much booked me on the spot after we talked for what felt like HOURS! Since then, we’ve come to realize we are long lost friends with so many things in common (including our love for the Rocky Horror Picture Show! Be sure to look out for them doing the Time warp in their reception photos!! I was totally doing it along with them behind my camera!)  and all day long, it felt like I was capturing the wedding of some of my oldest friends! From the minute I showed up to her hotel room and felt like I was an unofficial bridesmaid 😉 I know I say that a lot about my couples but it’s true!! My couples aren’t my CLIENTS – they’re my friends and that feeling really pays off in their photos! Looking back, it feels like we had so much time with Ashley & Steve on their wedding day and really got to take our time taking their photos 🙂 It was a perfect October day – a little chilly and windy (but no rain so that’s a BIG plus!) and the leaves were falling all around them. They both looked incredible and it was clear they were having the best time ever all day long. Steve’s reaction when he turned around and saw Ashley during their first look was the best. She wasn’t sure what his reaction would be but his ear-to-ear smile was everything!! And she had no clue if she’d cry at all during their wedding day but it was the sweetest thing watching her get emotional as they said their vows to each other. I also LOVED how they sealed a box with a bottle of wine in it during their ceremony – that they can pry open on a later day and always remember the sweet tradition they shared. The food was amazing, the dance floor was bumping (seriously – these guests know how to have a good time!!) and by the end of the night when it was time to leave, my heart was a little sad that it was all over! But I know these two have an amazing future ahead of them and that’s all I could ever want! Ashley & Steve, I love you guys!!
