I will forever be grateful for this sweet, sweet couple! Marissa & Dave are just the BEST! Besides being the friendliest two people you’ll ever meet, they also happen to be the kindest. Our original date for their engagement session was scheduled a few weeks ago on one of the HOTTEST days in May! It was super bright, sunny and REALLY hot out. On my way to meet them at Old York Cellars, the brakes on my car decided to stop working! I immediately contacted Marissa and told her my situation. I expected we would have to postpone their engagement session for the next week. What I DIDN’T expect was for them to come and find me, try and help me in any way they could and when they couldn’t, help me call a tow truck and drive me home. WHAT!? They went out of their way to help me and for that, I’ll be forever thankful! I was absolutely blown away by their kindness and to this day it warms my heart 🙂
It made it even more special when I finally got to take their engagement photos the following week! It was on a day that was much cloudier and a little cooler which may not sound ideal but for a photographer, this is a dream scenario for photos! 🙂 And to think these two didn’t even want an engagement session to begin with! I was able to talk to them into it and I’m so glad I did because they are such naturals in front of the camera. They seemed so calm and chill… maybe the wine they were sipping helped them 😉 They picked Old York Cellars as the backdrop for their engagement session and what a beautiful backdrop it was! If you haven’t been, you should absolutely plan a trip there – it’s so quaint and charming! We were allowed free reigns of the winery and we took full advantage of every beautiful spot they had! This was the PERFECT setting for their engagement photos because Dave and Marissa LOVE wine! Dave even proposed while they were at a wine festival with their families. He proposed with a very special bottle of wine, which they brought along to their shoot. Of course, they didn’t open the bottle though – they will enjoy that bottle one day together in the future 🙂
We walked all around Old York Cellars as they sipped on their chardonnay and we talked about their wedding day plans, admired the beautiful settings and of course talked all things Disney since they just got back from their Disney trip a few days before! (SO jealous btw) These two will be getting married in a few short months and I can’t wait to hang out with them again. It’s going to be so much fun and I KNOW their wedding photos will just as stunning as their engagement photos are!! For now, I’m so excited to introduce you to Marissa & Dave and share my favorites from their engagement session!! 🙂
