I can’t begin to tell you how LONG it took this engagement session to happen since Kristen & Tom booked me for their wedding this past March! One thing after another, there were SO many obstacles in our way (bad weather and my smokey car. Don’t even ask!) They decided to just push it back a few months from a summer session to a fall session (a season they loved a lot more) and pray we had good weather for the new dates. Well, we had the BEST weather, a little foliage and finally – it was time for Kristen & Tom’s engagement session!
Because of ALL of that – the fact that they were finally taking their engagement photos made Kristen SO giddy! You had to see her jumping up and down in between photos, squeezing Tom’s arm as they hugged and just had the BIGGEST smile on her face the entire time! FINALLY they are going to have photos to fill all the empty frames in their home 😉 And don’t worry, their wedding day isn’t far behind! These two are getting married smack in the middle of February and I can’t wait for it! We just had the best time walking around Swartswood State Park. It’s so far from my house, I had never heard of this park, but Tom fishes here regularly and after checking it out together, they knew it’d be a great spot for photos. Wow – they were so right!
It’s a gorgeous, HUGE park with the beautiful Swartswood Lake right in the middle of it and since it was a nearly PERFECT fall day, the sun was shining right through the trees and just created the perfect glow around them! Engagement photos might be awkward but these two make it look GOOD! I can’t wait to share my favorite images from their engagement session with you all today 🙂 Kristen & Tom, I think the wait was well worth it!! I hope you LOVE your photos and I can’t wait for your wedding day next year!! 🙂
