After Courtney and Hector welcomed their beautiful daughter, Isabelle, into the world… he knew it was time to make things official. And so, one day while they were on a lovely walk down by the Hudson River waterfront in Jersey City, with their daughter there, he asked Courtney if she’d marry him. I remember when I first heard from them he told me it wasn’t conventional for most people but it was a special spot for them 🙂 I remember thinking … There’s nothing wrong with that! Do things the way YOU want to and you won’t have any regrets 🙂 And that’s exactly how they planned their wedding day! They picked the beautiful Meadow Wood Manor as their wedding day venue and even if it was an hour from their home, it was definitely worth the drive! WOW! And it was the perfect weather out. They wanted to share a first look and they wanted the city of New York to be their backdrop and that’s what we did. And oh man, what a sweet first look! Just non stop hugging and kissing. I don’t think I’ve ever taken SO many photos during a first look. And I was constantly turning around to Jose whispering “they’re so cute!!”
Their daughter Izzy just entered the “terrible two’s” and while she had a few hiccups during the day (she was NOT into walking down the aisle!), she still stole the show. She was up for most of the reception, which was REALLY impressive considering we left at 11:30pm and the party was STILL going lol. But I will never forget us taking their Bridal Party pictures and her entering the room and finally noticing her mama in a wedding dress. The photo is in this post and it kills me… her face just LIT UP! She had the biggest smile on her face and it was the most precious moment!! I’ll also never forget the sweet dance Hector and Courtney shared with Izzy right after dinner to “La Vie En Rose”… well, Izzy and Jessie lol. Izzy is full on obsessed with Toy Story and all things Disney (just like Courtney! C’mon, is she my bride or what!? lol) and the tiny little scatterings of Disney melted my heart. Like their sweet cake topper that read “Tale as old as time”. Uhm… one of my favorite Disney movies. I loved that! And when their Bridal Party walked down the aisle to the music from Paperman. Guys – that is a Disney Deep cut! Only TRUE Disney people know and love Paperman. (I haven’t been able to stop listening to the music since their wedding!) It immediately took my breath away and brought me to tears. And then I officially fell apart when Courtney walked down the aisle with her father. Oh man… they both instantly teared up and it was the sweetest moment.
Their ceremony was short and oh-so sweet. The smiles never left their faces as their exchanged their vows and I swear, their first kiss lasted a full minute! They embraced each other and just couldn’t let go. I loved it 🙂 And once the ceremony was over, MAN did the party get started!! We took SO MANY photos during their reception and there was some serious dancing going on at this reception! DJ Austin John from POSH Entertainment had that floor PACKED! Jose and I just loved spending the day and night with Courtney and Hector because it was basically like hanging out with our clones lol. Besides Courtney & I sharing a love for Kate Spade, Disney and – Jose and Hector immediately bonded over THEIR serious love for wrestling and WWE! They were so much fun to be around, them and their sweet families. We had SO much fun capturing their wedding day and it was our honor to have been there documenting the day for them.
Courtney & Hector – CONGRATULATIONS!! We hope you have an amazing time in Jamaica!! We wish you both the best and all the happiest blessings in your new marriage! 🙂 Enjoy our favorite images from their lovely wedding day.
