I can not believe Nicole & Joe’s wedding day has already come and gone – HOW is it over already!? It was almost 2 years ago that they booked me for their wedding day, and it was two years ago that they got engaged! From the moment I met them, I have loved this couple! They are just the absolute sweetest and Nicole’s family has always treated me like family as well! Their beautiful engagement session last year was so fun getting to know them both even better and now their wedding day is over?? What!? They are a beautiful couple and I knew their wedding day would be just as beautiful as they are but it exceeded ALL my expectations. This was a wedding day for the books! The best bridal party, an AWESOME band that kept the party going all night long (I mean seriously… until MIDNIGHT!), gorgeous vibrant colors (you know I love me some color!), a beautiful venue and the happiest Bride & Groom. What a DAY!
The day was so much fun from beginning to end. The girls were in the best spirits when I showed up while they were getting ready, all in their adorable tank tops and shorts than Nicole made for them all. Joe’s mom was with the girls showing me the fun photos her husband was taking while he was hanging out with Joe & the guys – the excitement was in the air everywhere! These two were sprinkled with love all day long from everyone around them. They had four toasts at their reception, Nicole opened not only Joe’s card before she slipped into her dress but a card from her parents and Joe’s parents. Even Nicole’s beloved grandmother who passed away this past March was there. Her presence was everywhere and though there were a few tears shed, it was only behind the happiest and biggest smiles! Nicole had a first look with not only her dad but her beloved grandfather, who we ALL were calling Poppy by the end of the night like he was our own grandfather, AND her Bridesmaids! Each reaction was better than the next! Nicole’s gown was breathtaking… full of tulle with a long cathedral veil, which by the way she NEVER took off! She kept that bad boy in all night! She was literally flicking it around on the dance floor but she was a Bride until the very end of her day! And she was gorgeous!! Her Bridal portraits are some of my favorite ever! So radiant, SO happy and full of laughter. She has the best laugh and it was so fun to hear it all day long. NOTHING got them down.
Right before the ceremony I went over to Joe while he waited in the church for Nicole to make her grand entrance. I asked him how he was feeling and he simply said, with the biggest grin, “I’m just ready to get things rolling!”. No nerves… NONE. These two have a sure thing and have had it since the moment they met. Planning a wedding over the course of two years just made them ANXIOUS to finally have this day arrive and it was a non stop party from the minute they were pronounced husband wife. I mean, they literally turned around after their first kiss and screamed with their hands up in the air. LOVE it! After the ceremony we made our way to their beautiful venue, Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club, which is now a new favorite venue. We found the most perfect spot for portraits – and literally just stayed there the ENTIRE time! The ballroom was grand and jaw dropping… and when they made their entrance into their reception, WOW! What a way to start the party. They even let us slip them outside for some quick sunset shots and let me tell you, even on a cloudy night it is WORTH it! But the most fun was watching them dancing alllll night long. Completely being surrounded by family and friends and the dance floor was literally SHAKING. We’ve NEVER experience anything like this reception. We topped off their night with the cutest sparkler photos. I mean, it was scary at the time (fire is so scary and unpredictable!! lol) but it was the perfect way to end the night with these two! I can go on and on about this amazing day but I will now let the photos speak for themselves 🙂
Nicole & Joe, we can’t even begin to tell you how thankful we are for letting us capture your beautiful wedding day! It was an unforge ttable day and night and the perfect start to your marriage – congratulations!! We wish you nothing but the best in the years to come 🙂
