I think my favorite part of Jennifer and Joe’s engagement photos was capturing all of the things they love so much together, throughout their session. There are three things they LOVE that we highlighted during their session. The first is Jennifer’s sweet cat, Floyd! This was my first engagement session where we captured my couple their their cat! Dogs, sure but never cats! However – I LOVE cats (duh, I have one!) so I was really excited to take these photos. I knew going into this session that capturing a cat was going to be NOTHING like capturing a dog because cats just do not care that you are taking a photo of them or calling their name. They just will not do what they don’t want to do. But luckily for me, Floyd was such a talkative sweetheart (seriously, constant meowing! It was adorable) and we got photos of him that I was SO happy with! He steals your heart when he looks at you with his big beautiful eyes… though I’m pretty sure he was begging me to stop taking photos lol.

The second highlight was their love for wine! These two are wine drinkers (Jennifer even is in a wine of the month club! So fun!) and knew that they absolutely wanted to get some shots of them drinking wine. We knew it wouldn’t be AS easy to capture them drinking wine inside a restaurant or bar, since it’s usually a lot darker in there, but Jennifer came armed with a plan.. and two wine glasses! We just hit up their favorite liquor store, where Jennifer gets her wines every month, and grabbed her free wines. This liquor store is AMAZING! Not only did they have the cutest outdoor seating section, which actually allows you to drink right outside of the store, but they popped our bottle open for us and let us shoot there! It made their session that much more unique and made me fall in love with Morristown even more. And that brings us to the third highlight of the engagement session… Morristown! Since they both live in Morristown and love it there, it just seemed like a no-brainer to do their session right in town! I’ve loved Morristown for years and have always wanted to do an engagement session right on the famous Morristown green so this was a dream come true for me! We stopped at every tiny corner in The Green before making our way to Jockey Hollow, a section of Morristown I’ve never even noticed! It was BEAUTIFUL and we got there at the perfect time – right as the sun was setting – so because of this, Jennifer & Joe’s photos look pretty spectacular 🙂 Just add in these two and their beaming smiles and it’s even better!

Jennifer and Joe were my very last engagement session of 2015 but I’m excited because we won’t have to wait too long to see them again. They will be our first wedding of 2015, getting married the first weekend in April! Have I mentioned that I love April weddings?? It’s my own love month, our anniversary is at the end of the month, so I’m always so excited to start shooting weddings in April! These two are SO easy to take photos of. Be sure to the HUGE smile that beams across Jennifer’s face every. single. time Joe kisses her on the cheek. It is the cutest thing!! It’s the exact reason why I asked him to do it so much 😉 April is going to be here before we know it and I can’t wait to capture what is sure to be a BEAUTIFUL wedding day!
