It feels like just yesterday I met up with Kathleen and Kaitlyn for our client meeting at Joe’s bar & grill! We met up there since it was going to be right after 5pm so I figured after-work drinks and appetizers was better than coffee. What a good call that was! Three appetizers and two rounds of drinks later, I had fallen in love with these two. We talked about everything from how they met and what they do to their incredible vision for their wedding day (not only is it going to be gorgeous, it is going to be one HECK of a party!). I also feel like since they’ve booked me, I’ve been in constant contact with them which is always so much fun for me. Kathleen & Kaitlyn never really email me but ALWAYS text me and I LOVE that because it makes me feel like I’m more their friend than wedding vendor. Is it obvious that I love these girls? It felt like this past year of knowing them and talking with them has FLOWN by and before we knew it… their engagement session was here!

Kathleen & Kaitlyn had so many ideas for their engagement session, it took them a while to even settle on a location! But when I arrived at Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve, I knew they had picked an EXCELLENT location. They wanted an early fall engagement session but of course the day we met up, it was incredibly HOT! Luckily leaves had started to change a little and the sun was just starting to set, it ended up cooling down and being the perfect evening for photos! There were so many great spots in the Nature Reserve for photos… long winding paths with tall overhead trees. It looked like something out of a Tim Burton movie and my couples just KNOW how much I love that 🙂 And with the sun setting right along the lake, it created some incredible light reflections for us. Plus they had the CUTEST signs with them! And I always love knowing these signs will last in their home with them for years to come, along with their photos 🙂 So fun tying together so many memories!

I should warn you now that you are about to turn to mush looking through their photos and that’s all thanks to their adorable lab, Dublin! She is such a sweetie!! She is a high-energy love bug and made our shoot so much fun when she was around 🙂 A big thanks to Kaitlyn’s brother for coming along and keeping Dublin company while we shot a few photos without her but whenever she was there… she was panting and wagging her tail SO happily! She really steals the show when she’s in front of the camera. That happy face kills me! I bet you can’t even tell how hard it was to keep this spitfire sitting still, though. She may be high-energy but it felt so easy to grab pictures of her looking at my camera 🙂 Plus she is the cutest furry Giants fan there ever was! There’s so much to love about this session and I’m thrilled to share my favorite images today with you!! Kathleen & Kaitlyn – I miss you girls already and can’t wait for next September!! It’s going to be hell of a celebration!! 🙂
