When I received Stephanie’s first email and she quoted Harry Potter in her signature, I immediately knew we were going to get along. When we met in person and she described her vision of her wedding day to me, I fell in LOVE with her style! Stephanie has a beautiful imagination and the vision for her wedding day is coming to life wonderfully. Her words exactly were “Enchanted Forest” theme… doesn’t that make your mild run wild with woodsy elements, lush greens and twinkle lights? That’s EXACTLY their vision and it’s so beautiful! Steph & Tom are lovers of nature and natural beauty so when she explained what she wanted for her engagement session, I knew it was going to look gorgeous. Not only that but she wants to tie her engagement photos and wedding photos together and what better way to do that than by shooting BOTH at the same park? Parvin State Park was the perfect location for their engagement session and will be just as perfect next year when they get married!
This park is SO different from other parks I’ve shot at because it has so many great and different spots for photos. Unique benches, great overlooks of Parvin Lake, a dock that was just PERFECT for when we reached it at sunset and the CRAZIEST looking tree! This tree fell over and the massive roots that are attached to it looked like something out of a Tim Burton movie. It matched perfectly with their rustic, wanderlust inspired style 🙂 We walked all around Parvin State Park that the sun set on us, which looked even better when we pulled out the adorable mason jars Steph brought along. It was SO romantic! And watching Steph & Tom through my lens was so fun because they are just so sweet together. Steph’s smile is SO contagious! I smile just looking at her smile 🙂 And thank god Tom makes her smile even more! Tom actually proposed to Steph while there were hiking so being two people that LOVE the outdoors, this park was just perfect to capture their love together.
Steph & Tom met when they were in the 6th grade and after being together when they were that young than apart for a while, and learning a lot about not only each other but themselves in the process, it made them appreciate each other even more the second time around. These two are now rock solid as a couple and are the sweetest together. I had so much fun walking around Parvin State Park with them, hearing all about their wedding plans coming together and getting scared by chipmunks with them. This session captures the warm glow of the last days of summer and makes me SO excited for their wedding day next year! Hope you enjoy my favorite images from Steph & Tom’s engagement session 🙂
