Cristin & I quickly bonded from the moment we met. It might have started when she walked into our meeting at Starbucks wearing an adorable Kate Spade bag… that right there tells me this is MY kind of girl 🙂 But after talking to her and Ryan I began to fall in love with not only their wedding day, which sounds like it’s going to be a GORGEOUS day, but more importantly, THEM. Right off the bat, I saw just how devoted Ryan was to Cristin and how HAPPY he really made her. Cristin’s smile never once left her face and she talked about their relationship and their wedding day. Pure giddyness! That excitement and happiness is SO contagious and I left their meeting praying we’d get to work together because I instantly fell in love with them. Lucky me… they did! And we got right to planning their engagement session 🙂
Cristin immediately knew what she wanted for their engagement session and it just HAD to be at a Vineyard! Every summer, Cristin & Ryan enjoy their time visiting vineyards in New York and they knew they wanted to shoot their session at one, and explore a new one in New Jersey at the same time! Luckily we happened to pick the absolute best day possible. It was Labor Day weekend you’d think that the vineyard would have been packed… not going to lie, I was nervous it would be as I drove up. Turns out I could count on two hands the number of people that were there. There was practically NO ONE at the vineyard and we literally had the entire place to ourselves. We got to hang out in the vineyard all alone, not a person in sight, and that made their session SO much better. It’s SO much easier to take photos acting all lovey dovey without an audience and I’m so happy it ended up happening that way.
There are so many parts of this session that I love. There were the few tiny details Cristin carefully selected to make sure it highlighted who they were as a couple and I think you’ll see them perfectly. LOTS of giggles (maybe we can credit that to the yummy wine? lol), lots of kisses, lots of gazing into each other’s eyes probably thinking. It was so fun taking their picture, watching them laughing at how ackward they felt than showing them the back of my camera and seeing them realize they are actually ADORABLE! These two are so cute together and it shows in this adorable session! Also, at times the vineyard really shows off and make their session SO beautiful. The lovely wine barrels, the beautiful willow trees and of course the vibrant, green vines that surrounded them… this was the PERFECT location for their session and Unionville Vineyards was the best backdrop we could have asked for. You really are going to love this session, I just know it. It was fun wrapping up the last days of the summer with Cristin & Ryan and I’m thrilled to share my favorite images from their session today 🙂
