When you plan a late April wedding, the chances of it being a rainy wedding day are still high. The chances of it being below average temperatures and super windy?? That is NOT what I was prepared to deal with. I made sure to bundle up for the day, grab my coat and prepare for the fact that plans may have to change. But luck was on their side. Jean Marie & Nick spent the morning of their wedding day not at ALL concerned with the weather! Honestly, looking at their photos now… I don’t think you’d be really be able to tell how cold it really was! They just had the biggest smiles on their faces and when it was cold, they had each other to keep warm 🙂 Don’t roll your eyes at my corny-ness – it’s true!
I arrived the morning of their wedding to capture Jean Marie’s details but was not at ALL prepared for the gorgeousness that awaited me! When Jean Marie’s sister, Christine, brought me to check out the bridesmaids dressed – I almost died! Jean let all her girls pick out their own dressed and they did SO good! Each dress was so gorgeous and I LOVED them all so much, I felt like by the end of the day I STILL couldn’t pick a favorite. The morning started off a little hectic but once Jean Marie slipped into her gorgeous wedding dress, all everyone could focus on was the BEAUTIFUL bride-to-be… and how Nick was going to DIE when he saw her! Jean Marie & Nick decided to have a First Look and it certainly paid off! It got chillier and windier as the day went on but when we took their Portraits & Bridal Party photos on the grounds of the Grand Cascades Lodge, it was as if the heavens let up and nothing but hot sun shined on them. I’m SO grateful for that because it paid off. Their photos are STUNNING. Everything about their wedding day is simply stunning. From the sharp suits Nick & his groomsmen wore to the insane bouquets Jean & her bridesmaids carried around to a picture-perfect outdoor ceremony… I just want to relive this wedding day over and over again!
Jean Marie & Nick really are meant to be together. The more I was with them that day, the more true I saw that to be. When Jean was feeling anxious in any way or concerned about something, Nick was right there to calm her down. He is the ying to her yang and I could not imagine two people more perfect for each other. By the end of their wedding night, they felt like old friends of mine and I was so sad to leave the party! I have completely fallen in love not only with their gorgeous wedding day but with the two of them. It really was an honor to be a part of such a FUN wedding day and hang out with such an awesome wedding party all day long. Jean Marie & Nick – CONGRATULATIONS! I’m SO happy for you both and wish you nothing but the best! Enjoy a few of my favorite images from their wedding day 🙂
Also – I owe a HUGE thank you to Laura, my second shooter for their wedding day! Jose wasn’t able to make it to this wedding day and Laura came through for me in SO many ways. Love the photos she captured of Nick & his guys! She’s going to be sticking around a lot this year with me so get used to hearing her name 🙂
