Philadelphia is one of Jose’s and mine’s favorite cities to visit whenever we have the chance to. It’s so similar to New York City and at the same time, VERY different. A little cleaner, people are a LOT nicer and the looks we get when Jose walks down the street in a Mets hat… woof. Evil! lol But regardless, we love that city and love discovering new corners of it each time we go.
We are planning a day trip there the next weekend we have free because we are CRAVING Philly Cheese-steaks. We never really go to Philly with a plan of what we are going to do and prefer to just see where the city takes us. There is one thing we ALWAYS do when we go to Philly and that is stop at our FAVORITE ice cream place ever, Franklin Fountain. Seriously, the BEST ice cream. I much prefer soft serve to hard pack ice-cream but there’s is so smooth and creamy, I can’t resist! While we wait to visit Philly, I’d love to share a few of my favorites from our past day trips to the city of brotherly love 🙂 (Oh and don’t mind the changes in my hair color. I tend to always dye my hair! lol)
We did not run up the Museum steps like Rocky did lol but a TON of people around us were and it was hysterical to watch!
We really enjoyed stumbling upon these random game pieces in the middle of the city! Still don’t know exactly where this was but we had fun here 🙂
That time we stumbled upon Philly’s Shake Shack was THE BEST!! It made my day!
Close up selfies!! It may be close up but I really do love this photo of us 🙂 and I miss those aviator sunglasses!
You guys… here’s a sneak peek of my new album cover. lol
HAVE to get Cheese-steaks! Our goal next time we go to Philly is hitting up one of the big Cheese-steak places like Genos or Pats! We watched a Travel Channel episode about their rivalry and I have to admit, I already am leaning towards Pats! lol Anyone try either one??
And our FAVORITE part about going to Philly is hitting up Franklin Fountain!! 🙂 Ugh… salivating just looking at these photos!
WHOO! Can’t wait to hit up Philadelphia soon and see what else this city has to offer. If anyone has any tips or recommendations of things to do, we’d love to hear! Some things we HAVE done that we didn’t share here are visit the Reading Terminal Market, Franklin Square and Citizens Bank Park!
