This was the first time I believe ALL YEAR I had to postpone an Engagement Session because I was feeling under the weather. I NEVER do that… I usually suck it up, if I’ve felt off, and just went but this day was bad. Luckily Audrey & Matt are amazing and understanding. I can’t say I regret it though. Our original date was about 10 degrees colder and WINDY. It would not have been fun. But on the day we met up for their Engagement Session, it was unusually warm and just right! We met at Ken Lockwood Gorge – a hidden gem! It was breathtakingly beautiful! The leaves were still somewhat on the trees, the water was flowing through the stream and for a beautiful day it wasn’t that packed. It was quiet and peaceful and just an amazing location they picked! They picked this location because they come here frequently with their dog, Rookie, so of COURSE Rookie had to tag along for a few photos! He was the cutest – he might not look it in these photos because he posed so perfectly for the camera but he was EXCITED to be there! It was hard to get him to sit still, he was so excited! But Rookie was a champ and I’m telling you… their family photo is the cutest! 🙂
After hanging out at Ken Lockwood Gorge, they dropped Rookie off at home, changed and met me at the adorable Main Street in Clinton. What a charming little town! It happened to be SO busy that night because it was a few days before Halloween and the Red Mill Musuem had their own Haunted House attraction – I could see Audrey & Matt were not loving the crowds of people around but you guys, they put their nerves aside and it paid OFF! I love this session so much of course because Rookie was present and because of their beautiful locations they picked, but mostly because of their genuine happiness is GLOWING in these photos! I dare you to look through this session and NOT catch yourself smiling too 🙂 I was beaming editing their photos, because Audrey’s smile is SO fantastic and contagious! And Matt too! He warned me when we met at our initial meeting that he doesn’t like to smile too much with his teeth showing but you might catch some pearly whites here and there… because they just kept genuinely making each other smile and loving the moment 🙂 It was SUCH a fun night with these two and I’m so excited to share their session today!
How cute is Rookie!? Love how his coloring blended right it in with the foliage!
You’re smiling already too, aren’t you? Told ya 🙂
A family photo worth framing! 🙂
LOVE this one!
This is definitely a favorite 🙂
We than made our way to Clinton for some photos! Check out the gorgeous Red Mill Museum!
So adorable! And isn’t Audrey’s dress SO fun!?
Matt had a sweet way of proposing to Audrey, giving her envelopes with little slips of special dates for them and of course the last envelope had a special slip for her to read 🙂
This is when ALL EYES WERE ON THEM!! No joke like 50 people around… And I kind of loved it because their reactions to it were pretty great! lol Their big smiles to each other like “this is AWFUL!” made for wonderful photos 🙂
YAY!! Be sure to leave Audrey & Matt some love in the comments below! 🙂
