Alyssa & Terry described themselves as an easygoing couple, looking for photographers to capture their special moments and have fun. They were true to form and Jose and I left their wedding on such a HIGH! We were expecting a crazy day with a tight schedule and only so little time to shoot their portraits and what we got was the opposite… everything just worked out PERFECTLY for us! A cooperative family and bridal party made for quick picture taking and left us with TONS of time to take pictures of the happy bride & groom. Even when the sun was setting just as their reception was starting, they let us take them outside for a few more portraits and just made me the happiest photographer ever 🙂 Alyssa is SO easygoing, when one of her bridesmaids got incredibly sick the morning of the wedding she completely understood and let her go home to rest. Luckily her brothers’ girlfriend was hanging out with the girls with her hair done and fit right in to the bridesmaids dress and was able to fill the now empty spot. It was an unfortunate circumstance but everyone worked together to make it work – and Alyssa was just the BEST throughout it all! The bridezilla could have come out then and there but Alyssa is NOT that type of bride. She truly was the dream bride for a photographer!
Jose spent the morning with the guys and as always, had the best time. It must be so easy to photograph guys getting ready when you’re a guy too! I’ll never know that feeling lol. Jose even boasted how when they were getting ready NO ONE could figure out how to tie Terry’s tie for him and Jose stepped in and saved the day! Seeing Terry at the church, I could tell he was NERVOUS! You know how you’re talking to someone and you can see they are half listening to you? Constantly looking around the room, doing some kind of a nervous tick? For Terry, it was reapplying his chapstick (which he admitted he NEVER used) over and over… and over again. I left the room with Jose smiling and saying “oh man, he is nervous!” But the minute he saw Alyssa walk down the aisle, you literally saw his sigh of relief. She was here, she was beautiful and it was all happening! The rest of the night they were in the BEST moods, constantly smiling and laughing to each other during their portraits and enjoying the company of their family and friends all through their reception. We had THE BEST time at this wedding and 10 hours really FLEW by!
Alyssa & Terry – we love you both and thank you SO MUCH for letting us capture and celebrate your wedding day with you! Hope you are having the BEST TIME in Hawaii and love and cherish for photos for years to come!! 🙂 Enjoy their blog post!

Jose and I promised ourselves we’d try out lots of different posing with our brides and grooms and they pretty much NAILED IT!!
We made our way inside right before the Reception began and I was blown away by how beautiful their room looked!
LOVE the mason jar favors!!
This photo (below) that Jose captured is a personal favorite.. just them and their first dance, enjoying the moment together 🙂
I always love watching the parents reactions to the toasts 🙂
Snuck outside for some quick portraits with the sunset and it was WELL WORTH IT!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
Back inside, there was a serious party going on!
Alyssa decided to surprise her single ladies and throw a pair of sweatpants instead of a bouquet 🙂
And instead of a garter… Terry pulled off her pair of gym shorts! lol LOVED it!
They had a fun Photo Booth that was packed ALL night long… and one of their guests clung to the Batman mask all night! Anytime we spotted him, Jose and I were just dying! I caught this photo of him photobombing the Photo Booth and Jose grabbed the photo of him eating dinner. lol
One of Terry’s groomsmen sang “You Shook me All night Long” for the bride and groom – and nailed it! 😉
And the night ended with the happy couple dancing, surrounded by friends and family singing “Don’t Stop Believing”!
YAY!! So happy to relive their day all over again in this blog post 🙂
