The one guaranteed thing to expect when owning a pet is the unexpected. Sure enough on Sunday Night right as the Superbowl was about to begin, Jose and I both noticed at the same time Riddle holding up his right paw. When we went to inspect it we were shocked to find one of his nails barely on his paw, about to fall off and bleeding. I FREAKED. This is the first bad injury either one of our dogs has ever had and it was not good. We quickly grabbed our coats and rushed to the Animal Emergency Room (the cutest yet ย most depressing place in the world). It was like a real mini hospital and after an hour or so of being there, we finally got Riddle bandaged up. And drugged up! Turns out the only thing that can calm this Boston Terrier down is pain medicine. And it also turns out, we don’t like our little Riddle so quiet and sleepy. Give us our crazy, wild Riddle anyday!

He’s been moping around on his bandaged paw the last few days & we can’t help but think he’s ten times cuter with it on! Something about that little cast made him the star of the household!

The biggest surprise for us has been our other dog, Lando. These two wrestle and play like CRAZY! And when we came back we were afraid Lando would jump on Riddle to start playing again. Instead, Lando has surprised us all by being Riddle’s little nurse. When we brought him home, he kept sniffing him and his cast like he was worried and wanted to make sure he was okay. He stays by Riddle’s side, walking next to him in the backyard making sure he goes to the bathroom okay before he goes himself. They are the cutest together and we are so proud of our Little Lando for showing what a caring little brother he is ๐Ÿ™‚

Even grabbed a picture of Hitchcock being a curious little cat and wondering what’s wrong with his brother… and yes, all our animals are black and white ๐Ÿ™‚ on purpose lol

Tonight we’ll be taking this adorable little cast off and praying another one never goes on! But we had to grab some photos of him like this before we took it off. The cuteness overload the past few days and has been too much! Ahhh the beauty of being a pet owner! You just never know what’ll happen next!
