We were two months fresh into deciding to make our dream of starting a photography business real. While we walked together through Mitsukoshi in the Japan Pavilion at Epcot in Disneyworld, I stopped to admire the table full of colorful little owls. I love owls and could not stop my excitement of seeing an entire table of them in a range full of colors.
Above the table, Jose noticed a little sign describing the owls and their colors. It said “Owl means “lucky” and “no trouble” in Japanese… the People of Japan love the owl’s cute appearance and carry them as good luck charms.” Each owl was a different color standing for different types of luck and fortune. We giddily grabbed a piece of paper and started collecting the owl’s we wanted to take home and carry with us. A little luck never hurt anyone. We picked only 4 and brought them home with us, hoping they’d bring us what they each stood for. So far… with a lot of prayer and a little luck, everything seems to be working out for the best for us. Is it possible to love owls even MORE now? These little four owls have become our little good luck charms!
Here are what each of our Lucky Owls stand for, as it says on the paper that came with them:
White will bring you good luck and happiness. Gold will make you dreams come true and bring you good luck in wealth. Red will bring you good fortune for business and good health for child. Purple will bring you strength in artistic sense.
