When I photographed Lauren and Steve in November of 2019, I had NO idea that the next time I would see them would be 2 and a half years later! But these two never seemed to mind the wait! They rescheduled their April 2021 wedding to January 2022 and hoped for the best. It seems though that these two are blessed with luck. Even after rescheduling, a major blizzard was coming our way the weekend of their wedding. But it only snowed the two days before their wedding – it stopped the night before, leaving a blanket of snow in its trail. It was COLD and snowy everywhere – but it was sunny and beautiful outside! And the way they looked at it, their angels in heaven sent the snow to give them a beautiful backdrop for their wedding day 🙂 That attitude ended up making their day even better!
Watching them lock eyes during the ceremony for the first time was just the sweetest. They both instantly choked up and cried happy tears. They held hands with each other throughout their entire ceremony, Steve always offered to carry Lauren’s train… it is just so clear being in their presence that these two have such a solid foundation of love. Becoming husband and wife was just solidifying it for them. Once the ceremony was over and they were officially married, we made our way to The Mill Lakeside Manor! We took pictures on the snow-covered grounds, with the frozen lake behind them, and it was just as beautiful as it is when it’s sunny and green! We then took photos inside by the warm fire and with their FUN bridal party who I swear didn’t complain ONCE about being outside in the cold for photos! They enjoyed their AMAZING cocktail hour and entered their reception as a married couple! They shared the sweetest first dance and parent dances with their moms that had me in tears! And once the party started, these two NEVER left! It was so fun watching them dance, laugh, and FINALLY celebrate!!
