Looking through Amanda & Patrick’s wedding photos as I put this blog post together, my heart was bursting with so much love and joy for these two. Two people who are so fun (& funny!), sweet and kind and who deserve all the best and that’s exactly what they got on their wedding day. Hot but GORGEOUS weather, amazing vendors that worked perfectly together and so many guests that came from all over to celebrate them! This a wedding day I will forever be grateful to have been a part of 🙂
When Amanda & Patrick first booked me last year, we were so excited at the thought of their beautiful October wedding day at the gorgeous Palace at Somerset Park. But obviously, October wasn’t what was planned for them. Amanda’s father was diagnosed with ALS and they decided to move their wedding day up. The most AMAZING part of this story is how everything just came together for them. Every. single. one of their vendors had that date available and were able to move for them. Life has a way of changing your plans. Things won’t always turn out exactly the way you imagined them. Of course, it was an emotional day. From the minute Amanda’s father opened the door and saw his daughter standing there and they both were in tears – I lost it! Watching not only Patrick & Amanda become emotional at the sight of each other in their ceremony but EVERYONE else around them crying too… it was overwhelming at times to be in the presence of so much love for these two.
Amanda & Patrick are the perfect example of how beautiful it can all be if you just hope and pray that your wedding day will be okay… it was BETTER than okay. The entire day was perfect. We NEVER ran behind (in fact, it always felt like we were way AHEAD of schedule at times!) and we had SO many opportunities for photos with them. (I’m warning you – this post is LOADED with photos!!) It was a HOT day so we took as many photos as we could in the sunlight before it became too uncomfortable and then stole them out of their reception TWICE for some sunset and night shots – and they NEVER complained! They happily left their reception with the biggest smiles on their faces and when we were done, hopped right back onto the dance floor for some more dancing. They never stopped dancing either and neither did their families! It was so fun to watch them all having an amazing time 🙂 Jose and I left their wedding day feeling so thankful for these two and we just hope their future is full of non stop joy and laughter, like it was on their wedding day. It was an AMAZING kick off to what is sure to be an amazing marriage!!
Amanda & Patrick – WE LOVE YOU BOTH!! We hope you’re having an AMAZING time on your honeymoon!! You’ve waited long enough… here’s your wedding day!! 🙂
