It’s been about two weeks since we’ve been home from California but Jose and I are having SERIOUS with-drawls. This was my third time visiting California but it was Jose’s first so I was not sure how he’d feel about it. I had always imagined he’d visit the west coast and absolutely fall in love with it, because everything about seemed to fit Jose perfectly in my mind. Turns out – I know my husband like the back of my hand! He absolutely LOVED it there and on our last day, we found ourselves sluggishly packing and heading for the airport. We did not want to come back!! Luckily, I took so many photos to look back at and remember all of our time there.

Were we crazy to take a vacation right in the beginning of my busy season? Maybe but it was exactly what we needed. We needed a change of scenery in every way possible. Typically we spend our vacations every year in Florida but I knew this year, I wanted to see something different and California is exactly what we needed. We booked our trip to stay in Los Angeles and it was everything we wanted and more! Warmer weather, a relaxed environment and the tastiest food! I’m pretty sure we didn’t have one bad meal the entire time we were on vacation and I’m pretty sure we all can agree the best part about vacations is discovering new foods to eat 🙂 From fast food to Sushi and Mexican, we ate it ALL! Not only did we eat it all but we SAW it all! From the beaches to the mountains… to Disneyland! I’ll share my Disney photos in a separate post (of course, I went a little crazy taking photos there!) so for now – enjoy our vacation to Los Angeles in photos! 🙂2015-05-28_0002

First thing we did when we got our rental car… we had some In-n-Out burger!! GREAT burgers but the fries could have been better lol. And look at our rental car!

We stayed in Anaheim at the Paradise Pier Hotel in Disneyland! It was cute – and I just LOVED those beach ball pillows!

Our first stop was Hollywood! We saw the Chinese Theatre, the hand prints right in front (even Harry Potter!! lol) and all the stars on Hollywood Blvd!

2015-05-28_0006 2015-05-28_0007 2015-05-28_0008We than made our way to Beverly Hills! I was surprised at how much Jose ended up LOVING Beverly Hills actually… I had a mini sugar-crawl and enjoyed Sprinkles and Sugarfina (brought home some champagne gummy bears!) so I loved it 🙂2015-05-28_0009We had some hollywood-famous PINKS hot dogs and they were SO good, we did it twice while we were there! Highly recommend! 🙂 2015-05-28_0010

After lunch and Beverly Hills, we decided we wanted to see a beach! We made our way to Santa Monica just as the sun was coming out and wow… what a sight!2015-05-28_0011 2015-05-28_0012 2015-05-28_0013 2015-05-28_0014 2015-05-28_0015 2015-05-28_0016

I could not stop taking photos of that BLUE pacific ocean! And palm trees! SO many palm trees! 🙂 2015-05-28_0017 2015-05-28_0018We walked around the city of Santa Monica and absolutely fell in love with it! We than stopped to grab an early dinner and drinks at Blue Plate Taco and had the YUMMIEST guacamole and chips as well as the tastiest steak tacos!! SO good!2015-05-28_0019 2015-05-28_0020 2015-05-28_0021 2015-05-28_0022

More beach photos because why not!? 🙂 I might put some of these on a canvas actually… too too pretty!2015-05-28_0023 2015-05-28_0024On Wednesday we woke up bright and early and headed to Burbank for our tour of the WB Studios! SO fun and highly recommend this as well! 🙂 We loved the studio tour and want to check out a different one on our next trip to L.A.!2015-05-28_0025 2015-05-28_0026We got to see so many cool things but our favorite was visiting the house that they filled the prom video at in FRIENDS!! This is me cheesing it up and “playing the keyboards” on the stairs like Ross 🙂 2015-05-28_0027

They had MASSIVE Batman and Harry Potter sections in the studios… two of my FAVORITE movies ever! We were totally geeking out over all of this! 🙂 2015-05-28_0028 2015-05-28_0029 2015-05-28_0030

This is our hysterical tour guide, Bob. He was AMAZING and made our trip so much fun! He’s quite a character but that’s why we love him! lol 2015-05-28_0031 2015-05-28_0032After our tour and eating in Glendale, we made our way to the Griffith Observatory! It was so crazy to be so high up looking down at the city and over at the Hollywood sign!2015-05-28_0033 2015-05-28_0034 2015-05-28_0035

Once the sun came out again (it seemed to be super cloudy in the mornings and then hot and sunny in the afternoon) – we made our way to Venice Beach! We strolled along the beach, checking out all the weirdos and muscle beach and than watched the skateboarders in the skate park. I think some of them were showing off once my camera came out lol2015-05-28_0036 2015-05-28_0037 2015-05-28_0038 2015-05-28_0039

Oh and the sickest purple & pink sunsets every night!2015-05-28_0040We did SO much while we were there and so much I didn’t even photograph! Towards the end I just wanted to soak up our time there and enjoy myself 🙂 We had such a great time in California and can’t wait to go back again. I’ll be sharing my photos from Disneyland very soon too! Get ready for those, Disney fans!! 🙂
